I am a Ph.D. candidate in the EECS Department ,
at UC Merced; I'm working under supervision of Prof. Sungjin Im.
I study the design and analysis of approximation and online algorithms. The algorithms that guarantee to return solution as close as optimal solution in efficient time.
My research focuses on addressing algorithmic challenges arising in large large data-centers and cloud computing environments.
Prior to Ph.D. I got my M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence in
Computer Engineering department of Sharif University
of Technology. In my M.Sc studies I worked on machine learning algorithms. My research focused on active learning for spam filtering problem.
I received my B.Sc in Software Engineering in
Computer Engineering department of Amirkabir University

Role: research on the design and analysis of approximation and online algorithms for the combinatorial optimization problems that we can not find optimal solutions for them in efficient time. My research was focused on addressing algorithmic scheduling challenges arising in large datacenters and cloud computing environments.

Role: Developing a new active learning algorithm that exploits structural information of data using spectral clustering to propose the best subset of data for labeling that gives us the most information about the the decision boundary.
